About Ozaman Recovery House
Ozanam Recovery House is a 19-bed transition home located in Kelowna, BC for adult men who are struggling with addictions, mental health issues, or both. With a dedicated staff, and a core group of volunteers, Ozanam Recovery House focuses specifically on those individuals who show a motivation and desire to change.
Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
It’s a group of dedicated volunteers that seek people in need. The activity of the SSVP is always based on the love of neighbours in our local community. Dr Joseph Painchaud, who was a companion of Frederic Ozanam, established the Society in Canada in 1846 in Quebec City. The Society was established in Victoria, BC in 1912 and much later, in 1989 in the Okanagan Valley. Globally there are now around one million SSVP members who work to serve the needs of the poor in over 147 countries in the world.
Board of Directors
Ozanam Recovery House is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which oversees house operations, secures grants and funding sources, prepares financial statements and establishes the strategic direction for the house.
We are in need of new board members with expertise in fund-raising, communications and an interest in addictions and mental health issues.
